I want to play this game in order. How can I do that? Should I start with the default download on the top of the first topic? Or should I download the chapter 1 first? Or would Island of Adventures be the first? Please, could you help me guys?
If you want to understand the story play first Chapter 1 RPGM, sometime after you can start Island, and after finishing RPGM start Chapter 2.

Thank you! But there is a huge download in the first topic. The first download. Does this one merge all the parts?

Start with chapter 1 (RPG maker version - though a renpy remake is in the world) and then chapter 2 (renpy). Island Adventure is a non canon side game that started as an event in chapter 1

I wish this game wasn't developed so slowly due to the dev working on two games. I am curious how everyone else feels about it. Assuming that abandoning LIA would speed up the progress of LLS, would you want the dev to drop LIA? Here's a poll in case you want to share your opinion

Not two. Three actually LLS 2, lia and remake
As far as I know, he's not the one working on the remake but another gentleman who does Ren'Py ports.

LIA comes off as forced, like it's just there for the sake of being there, not really adding anything worthwhile. On top of that, it's quietly bogging down LLS 2, eating up time and effort that could be better spent elsewhere. I get it, some developers juggle side gigs to keep busy while waiting on art or assets from multiple artists. But when he's the one doing it all, a second game is a weight holding things back. Every minute sunk into this sidetrack is one pulled away from where it really counts, which is LLS 2.

Hi, that'd be me, we're working on it together.

I got a Ren'Py port of chapter 1 almost to completion pretty quickly (reusing maps from ch2, scenes from RPGM, 100% of existing content playable, fixed all of the dialog). I figured, the job was very nearly done.

HOWEVER

Dark Anu is an absolute madman and wants Ren'Py Chapter 1 to be a remaster, not a remake. What we're making is a big step up in quality over the RPGM original chapter 1, plus we're ditching all the old RPGM minigames for something much much better.

I know some people would prefer developers to work only on that-one-thing that they like best, but sometimes varying between multiple creative projects helps you remain fired up about all of them.

Hello everyone, how are you? I hope you're well.
I'm working on the remake of chapter 1 right now and I had a great idea to make Joe's Bar interactive because that's something I would have liked to have implemented in the first version of the game but I couldn't do it. But now with ' help I'll be able to make an interactive version of Joe's Bar where Laura will serve and interact directly with the customers.

The interaction will depend on how Laura behaves during the service for each client and they all have specific characteristics and scenes. I'm happy about that because I know you'll have a lot of fun playing it.

Talking about the release, the game will first be available on Steam so that we can encourage new people to try LLS for the first time, and after that I'll release it on Patreon and Subscribestar.
Thanks for your support,
Dark Anu

Certainly, some may perceive it as you've described, yet others might interpret it as a classic bait and switch maneuver. What you refer to as "one thing they like the best," others view as the product initially showcased. Laura's narrative has already suffered from the plot being all over the place: new characters materialize without purpose, linger for a patch or two, then vanish, leaving the game feeling shallow and the author seemingly adrift.

The story sprawls in every direction, tangled with loose ends that multiply with each update. It's as though the author, running dry on original ideas, chases the latest trend: World Cup arrives and it sparks the arrival of a new German suitor for Laura; a new doujin becomes super popular and it inspires a strikingly similar scene in LLS; the latest episode of Lily of the Valley arrives and it births an eerily parallel moment, with her husband and of course Jack stepping into Rick's shoes. Yes, the strip club scene.

Now, atop this, you introduce a spin-off set on an island, drenched in gratuitous sex? Indeed, it's veering sharply from its original promise. One can only hope your collaboration might steer the story toward coherence. Otherwise, I fear it's swiftly devolving into yet another generic title, awash in shallow characters, aimless paths, and excessive titillation. We've no shortage of those already, the Anna's Exciting Whatevers of this world.

Always thought the waitress scenes were a bit empty and could have used more, especially with the sexually harassed waitress trope in games. This could be fun.

Hi, thanks for the post. The plan is for the remastered chapter 1 to give a more solid foundation for chapter 2's story - it'll certainly flow better, hopefully preventing the game from going full-Anna
